Australia may be famous for its barbecues, but Australians are also into baking and have a sweet tooth. Local desserts are greatly influenced by the British. 1. Pavlova

5. Jelly slice

This Australian favourite has three layers, consisting of crust, filling, and topping. The crust is made from crushed biscuits, the filling is sweetened condensed milk or custard, and the topping is jelly of different fruit flavours.
